The New Acute Care Centre
Population growth, innovations in technology, and new ways of delivering healthcare have brought us to a point where a new acute care centre is necessary. The new building will accommodate the increasing volume of complex and critically ill women and children who require the kind of specialized care that only BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital & Health Care Centre can provide. A new building will also enhance the clinical education and research environment.
The new hospital will also feature spacious private rooms for patients and family members to support high-quality, patient and family-centred care for patients.
