Construction for Clinical Support Building Continues


Construction on the $14-million Clinical Support Building (CSB) began in April 2011. The Clinical Support Building will be a two-storey, 2400-square-meter building consisting of an office-type environment with 80 underground parking stalls. This building will house crucial support services and clinical faculty that will be moved from the existing buildings scheduled for demolition to make way for the new Acute Care Centre. The CSB is part of the $90.5-million Phase 1 of the Redevelopment Project and is scheduled for completion in Fall 2012.

 

Construction Breaks Ground for Ronald McDonald House


Construction for the new Ronald McDonald House officially broke ground on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre. The new Ronald McDonald house will provide 73 rooms to help up to 2,100 families every year. Ronald McDonald House BC is owned and operated by the Children's Family House Society of BC and the new house is expected to be completed in late Fall 2013. Please read the official press release.
