Three qualified teams have been shortlisted to participate in the next stage of the competitive selection process to build the acute care centre at BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre.

The next phase of the BC Children's and BC Women's Hospitals redevelopment project is moving ahead with the evaluation of the proponents who responded to the Request for Qualifications to build a new Acute Care Centre.

On November 22, 2012, BC Children's Hospital Foundation announced a $4-million gift to build a new daycare centre on the Oak Street campus. The daycare will have spaces for 49 children, including 12 infants, 12 toddlers and 25 preschoolers and is yet another important step in the transformation of the hospital site.
